I’m a Monkey
I’m a Monkey
I love hanging out in the trees.
I love swinging from branch to branch.
I never tire of the outside.
The rainforests are my natural habitat.
Bananas, grapes, berries and plants are the staple of my diet.
I live with my family and I have good friends.
Sometimes I hang out by myself but usually am out and about with my family and my friends.
I’m a bit shy when meeting for the first time and cover up my face with my hands but once I get to know someone I’m very comfortable and vocal.
I’m also very competitive and enjoy play time with other monkeys.
Monkeys come in all shapes and sizes and are partners with humans in research efforts.
Some monkeys trained as service animals for disabled people.
Capuchin monkeys were the perfect match for helping those in wheelchairs and they made excellent companions.
They needed special training for that kind of work and were compatible and very useful but they’re no longer called upon to work with disabled.
Some monkeys were used in space exploration and worked alongside astronauts, engineers and scientists.
Monkeys are very intelligent and exhibit traits similar to humans.
They’re very social and love to have fun when they assemble in tribes
They also love the daytime and generally rest at night.
Monkeys generally live in the wild but some do reside in zoos and are visited by kids on field trips and families who want to see them close up.
I can swing in the trees all day hanging with my tribe because I’m a monkey.
