I’m a Lobster

I’m a Lobster

I live in the ocean.

I’m not a fish though I live among many types of sea life including fish.

I’m a crustacean.

I have a hard shell, claws, legs and a tail.

I hang out on the bottom of the ocean where I scrounge around for food.

I prefer the darkness of the ocean furthest away from the sunlight.

I seek the safety of the caves and crevices on the ocean bottom.

There I can hide from the dangers I may face from other larger fish.

I’m aggressive by nature and will always protect my surroundings.

I do travel with other lobsters in a pod and I always protect my babies when we seek food.

Lobsters can live in salt water and fresh water environments but ocean life is most suitable for them.

Lobsters can live up to 50 years if they live in the wild and are able to stay clear of predators and other dangers of the ocean.

Lobsters also reside in aquariums where their environment is controlled and monitored by fish and wildlife experts regularly.

Lobsters are amazing and wonderful creatures of the ocean which draws children to visit the many aquariums that showcase them.

Aquariums are educational and fun places to learn about all the many different forms of sea life including lobsters.

I love when the children come to visit at the aquarium and they look into the tank so curious but I’m not fond of the picture taking.

I prefer the ocean floor away from the other sea life. I don’t like to make a fuss when it comes to eating. I eat whatever I find as I scrounge around for food in total darkness because I’m a lobster.
