I’m a Seagull

I’m a Seagull I love to hang out at the beach in the warm summers. You can catch me walking by the shoreline or flying above swooping down for my catch of the day. I love to feast on fish and sometimes I scavenge for scraps of food left behind by the many visitors to the beach. I also love flying with my family and friends. We travel long distances and work in unison with each other as we chart our course. Seagulls are very protective of their young chicks and they mate for life. They are social animals yet they also appreciate their time alone in their search for food. Seagulls do gather in flocks and fly in formation. They’re migratory birds and do fly to warmer climates. There are 50 species of seagulls and you can trace them back millions of years. They are fascinating birds and can fly thousands of miles and can navigate back to their familiar nesting areas.
